Have you ever heard it said that it takes 21 days to make or break a habit? What do you think? Do you think it's true??? Research is up in the air about this 21 days thing, but here is a link to a good article about some research done on making and breaking habits. Well, I definitely think that there is something to making and breaking habits and 21 days. I don't necessarily think that you've got it made if you reach that 21 days, but I do think that the more and more you repetitively do something, the more it will be come second nature, and almost as if you can't live without it!
At the beginning of this month, I set out to make some changes in my health and in my children's health. Here are the goals I made:
I am happy to say that today is day 21 of my goal setting and habit making/breaking venture, and I have been to the gym every day, have completely given up my cokes and chips habit, and for the most part, I have been able to stay within my carb limits, resulting in my blood sugar readings coming down by over 100 points. 100 POINTS!!! That is very exciting to me!

So, what habits are you looking to kick? What habits do you want to create? Why don't you take 21 days and see what happens? You might be surprised!!!
“We become what we repeatedly do.”
Good for you on your new habits! It can be difficult to make or break habits. I've recently tried to break a habit of eating too much processed food. So far it's going rather well, but I still have my setbacks. :)
